Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about boarding with us. If yours is not listed, we are happy to help.

What animals do you board?

We currently board rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. If you're unsure whether we can accommodate your pet, please get in touch to discuss their needs.

Are pets boarded indoors or outdoors?

Rabbits and guinea pigs are boarded in secure outdoor accommodation with protection from the weather and daily welfare checks. Weather permitting, they will also have access to a secure run on fresh grass during the day, allowing them to exercise, graze, and enjoy natural enrichment in a safe environment.

What accommodation will my pet stay in?

Guinea pigs are housed in spacious 6ft hutches, while rabbits stay in large 6ft multi-level accommodations, providing plenty of room to rest, explore, and behave naturally. All accommodation is secure, weather-protected, and cleaned regularly to ensure a comfortable stay.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly during school holidays and peak travel periods. However, we understand that emergencies can arise and will always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests where space allows.

What is the minimum stay?

Our minimum boarding stay is 3 days (2 nights).

What should I bring for my pet's stay?

Please provide your pet's usual dried food for the duration of their stay. You're also welcome to bring favourite toys, treats, blankets, hideaways, or other familiar items to help them feel at home.

Do you provide hay and fresh vegetables?

Yes. Fresh feeding hay and a variety of vegetables are provided daily as part of your pet's stay.

Can you administer medication?

Oral medications and supplements can be given by prior arrangement. Please discuss your pet's requirements when booking. Please note: a small supplement will apply for this.

Will my pets be checked daily?

Absolutely. All animals receive daily health and welfare checks, fresh food and water, and regular cleaning of their accommodation.

Can my pets stay together?

Bonded pairs and compatible groups are welcome to stay together where appropriate. Please let us know your pet's requirements when booking.

Will my pets be mixed with other animals?

No. Your pets will never be mixed with animals from another household. We believe this is the safest and least stressful approach for all our guests. Bonded companions from the same home are, of course, welcome to stay together.

Will I receive updates while I'm away?

Yes. We are happy to provide updates and photographs during your pet's stay so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away.

What happens if my pet becomes unwell?

Your pet's welfare is our highest priority. If we have any concerns about your pet's health, we will contact you immediately and seek veterinary advice if required.

What are your drop-off and collection times?

Drop-off and collection times are arranged at a mutually convenient time in advance. We aim to be as flexible as possible, so if you have specific requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold appropriate insurance for our boarding services, giving you added peace of mind while your pets are in our care.

Can I view the accommodation before booking?

Yes, visits can be arranged by appointment so you can see where your pets will be staying and ask any questions you may have.

When is payment due?

A £20 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your pet's stay, with the remaining balance payable on or before drop-off. If you need to cancel, your deposit can be transferred to a future booking provided we receive at least 2 weeks' notice.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.
